Fandom: Harry Potter & The Case of the Purposeful Palaver  
Disclaimer: I'm totally behind JKR in her suit against RDR and SVA. It's her intellectual property, and no one has the right to profit from it, but her.

It's kind of disheartening to see all of the praise being heaped upon JKR for her brilliant, cutting and witty responses on the witness stand.

Don't get me wrong, those responses were all of the above. The problem is that JKR's writing really isn't all that brilliant; pedestrian would be a better word.

It's far more likely that the army of Warner Bros. lawyers, public relations experts and marketing geniuses have been coaching her for months, and her responses are far more scripted than any adaption of her books to film.

Take book that JKR/WB will win this lawsuit. But I'll lay you 8:5 that JKR didn't write her own dialogue for her New York appearance.
