Easter: This Year Say "Make Mine Chocolate!"
Please remember that live bunnies and rabbits are not meant to be gifted to children as part of their Easter holiday basket.

Did you know . . .

  • Rabbits live to be about 10 years old; they are living beings who need attention and companionship.

  • Rabbits require as much care as a dog or cat; you will need to neuter/spay them if you do intend on keeping one.

  • Rabbits like quiet, subdued households; children grabbing or holding them will not make them feel comfortable.

  • Rabbits and bunnies bought as a spontaneous purchase for Easter are usually quickly forgotten and abandoned once the holiday is over.

If you feel you must give something cuddly, then purchase a stuffed or plush bunny.

If someone has gifted you or a loved one with a rabbit or bunny, please don't abandon it. Contact a rabbit rescue group like House Rabbit Society to get information on groups in your area that can provide the rabbit with a loving home.

This year say "Make Mine Chocolate!".

Remember: Pets are for life.
